About the Day
Join Visible People, Inc. for The Horizon — A Community Experience for Healing, Joy, & Collective Wellness on May 23, 2026, from 1 PM to 6 PM at Harvey Hill in Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh.
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month and the historic legacy of Dorothea Dix’s contributions to mental health reform and humane care, this free family-friendly event is intentionally being held at Dorothea Dix Park — a place deeply connected to North Carolina’s mental health history and transformation.
The Horizon will feature live music, interactive wellness experiences, movement and play activities, local vendors, community connection, and opportunities for reflection, healing, and collective wellness.
Held on the historic grounds of Dorothea Dix Park, this event brings together individuals, families, and organizations in a space designed to promote emotional well-being, joy, and meaningful engagement.
